Still Rock’N & Friends were invited back to Crow Canyon Country Club to provide background music during the club’s new chef’s carvery dinner event. The band, which included Craig Harper, Dennis Viers, Rex Bell, Joe Iovino and Steve Sanfilippo, decided to make this more of an “unplugged” event using acoustical guitars with light bass and percussion.
However, before the dinner concluded, the guests were up dancing and asking the band to kick it up a notch so they could boogie the night away. Which the band was more than happy to accomodate. Here’s a little sampling of the evening posted on YouTube:

Joe, Rex, Dennis, Orestes and I had a great time performing at the Crow Canyon Country Club for their January 2012 Carvery dinner. We played to a sold out crowd of over 300 guests, the biggest turn out they have had for a carvery dinner and I heard there were over 50 people on the waiting list. Since it was a happy hour / dinner event, we weren’t sure if people would be dancing or not, but ended up being amazed that from the first song, people were hitting the dance floor and by the end of the evening the dance floor was packed.
A number of the long-time Crow Canyon Country Club members came up to me during our breaks and said how they really enjoyed the music and hoped we would be back soon and possibly even play for New Years Eve this year. We hope to be invited back to Crow Canyon CC soon and will post the next gig dates on the StillRockN.com website.
